These images are the produce of the audience of the Cultural Night of 15.03.08. This work was made under the wings of Fernanda and Bing. The images will be used to make the invitations and posters for the Night of June 21. So keep posted..

The Night of 15.03 was a great success and there were many people involved in painting and drawing. No less than four pieces were created and we will soon be putting them up on the web page, as well as some footage of the Night.

Proposition for the Cultural Night of 15.03.08

Art is an interactive process, not just in the specific 2 or 3 dimensions where it is being made, and not just because of the interpretative business which it evokes after it has been finished between work and audience. But also, and not in the least sense, because it involves sampling images from related experiences, evaluating place and time, and assessing interpersonal relations. These samples are re-worked in the work of art, creating their own narrative between maker and medium, untill they fit into a new esthetic experience.

The project thought up for the Cultural Event of 15.03 strongly refers to the sampling process, and aims to show the making of art as an interactive process.

So, what is the proposition?

During the event, lots of shows will be happening and there will be many visitors interpreting these. In the middle of all this we place a large canvas and 2-3 artists will be invited to work on this canvas. Another will film the event and the process of the making of the painting.

The video will be shown on the webpage of IC2d and Cultural Night, also we'll put it up at You-tube. The work will be exhibited during the next Cultural Night.
